Not able to get rid of my cs muscle memory?

I´ve been playing val since the beta. Never really grinded it at the beginning, but somehow felt the motivation a couple of months ago. I have now reached immortal 2, and am starting to realize that my aim is often not on par with some aim demons in my games. I am genuinely someone who is always looking to improve and started working on some different movement mechanics (like peeking in completely different ways or letting go of my keys when spraying, unbinding crouch etc.). Still to no avail, and I have been sucking my recent games, having only one game where I dropped 30.

The thing is, I used to be good at cs, reaching global and faceit lvl 10 about 5 years ago, and then "quitting" for valorant. And what i hate the most, is that I am still SO much better at cs than valorant for some reason, even though i touch the game like once a month when i feel like playing a dumb 5 stack with friends. But a couple of days ago, some work friends asked me to play cs with them, even though they are all above 22k elo, which is like, the top 1000 players in europe. And I was able to keep up and top frag 4/5 of the games.

Now, what I hate so much about this, is that I enjoy valorant so much more than cs right now, and am really looking to grind this game more the next episode after reaching my immo peak this act. I always thought that I was washed, since I started working right after valorant came out, and havent had as much time to grind, as i´ve had in the past, when i still went to school. But for some reason, these past cs games made me feel like i have just not fully transitioned to valorant yet, and that maybe my head is still to fixated on cs for some reason. Even though i hardly play it.

(btw, i play valorant completely different from cs. I dont crouch peek, bhop or anything like that, and know my sprays and stuff)

I´ve been thinking that this might be due to me playing 4:3 in cs, but I´ve been playing 2-3 ranked games of valorant per day for the past few years, and play way more on weekends. I have played 10 games of cs in total the past 12 months. But my aim just feels so off in val, i somehow cannot peek in this game, even though i always entry in cs, i suck at holding angles, so i somewhat transitioned to mostly playing controller, to at least help with my util

To anyone high ranked, are there any tips you have? I genuinely want to get better at this game, but am having such a hard time with it. I was always the guys to say that practice makes perfect, but idk what i am doing wrong rn

I don't want to be a buzz kill bit you will not find any good advice here. Just gold baiters on this website. If you are lucky you might get a lurking pro answer your question

the simple answer is to play more, its not necessarily the most time efficient, but if you play more with the goal of improving, you will get better

Dont counterstrafe. Trust me. The character stops the moment you leave your movement key. You will shoot/swing faster. Dont counterstrafe.
