Why do teams play jett

I guess its a comfort thing but I feel like raze or yoru would always bring more utility to a team than a jett
Obviously jett will still be picked but I feel like currently (especially on a map like icebox) yoru would be a much better pick than jett
Thoughts?

Jett is good for abusing the verticality of Icebox, although it is not necessary because you dont need a hard entry on the map. Yoru isnt that valuable because you mostly play retakes anyway, so you kinda "miss" on his strongest point that is insta rotating to make holding a site more effective.

Sure most of the time you play retake, but is yoru not better than jett in retaking? Not only do you have the option to rotate quicker, but his utility in a retake is much better than jetts imo

You dont really need to rotate quickly for retakes, unless you "flood" which is kinda "retaking before the plant". And while Yoru probably is slightly better at retake utility, I think the Jett mobility/ability to get up in boxes makes up for it. Personally, I wouldn't go for either Jett or Yoru. Would rather have my "duelist" play Omen or Clove.

I agree with omen being good on icebox, maybe not clove so much (although I do like seeing teams experiment). I feel like yoru is much better than jett, you have to play a little bit differently because they have slightly different play styles but I think overall yoru would be better on most maps. Not every team comp will be the most optimal but its just a bit boring seeing jett played on most maps when yoru seems better theoretically. I wanna see some variety.
