what defines a tier 2 team?

after looking at arguements involving flor, it makes you really think what defines a “Tier 2” team, because there’s a huge gap in T2 from random no name teams to actual notable teams, and that can imply a lot

I'd say teams that can play up to a certain level within the t2 system, like most of the teams currently going 2-1. Like franchising some teams we don't count as t1 such as mibr or a furia just because they don't play up to that level.

Idk because T2 NA is hard to define, but I'd say any team in challengers rn, plus any team that can compete with those teams (basically any team that could replace teams in the bottom of the league).

Back in the day it was hard to draw the line but Riot basically solved this for us. Its challengers. You can also include any team that compete very closely with those teams, but they're hard to find because full challengers rosters don't usually play matches outside of the league except for maybe during the open quals for challengers.
