no impressive results in years really

beating up korea was good but everything else in recent years especially in 2023 was disappointing

i dont think they win copa

this is very unlike their valorant which has been exceeding expectations since 2022. funnily enough the same time the national team began their disappointing stretch

although loud seems like the only promising team, they have good players in teams not from brazil still representing and i personally believe in 2024 furia to do some special things

theyre not talking about val its a bait for football/soccer

also thats last year in 2024 they got 4th in one masters and missed the other masters event. Their Copenhagen 11th/12th place result is better technically since they made that event but missed out on shanghai lol.

they werent 3rd when they beat brazil and brazil was expected to win the tournament to an extent. they were the most hyped team although i always had argentina winning

Brazil was hyped as a contender, but to hope for them being any higher than top 4 would've been ridiculous. I expected a quarterfinals finish, but when they played Croatia I did think they'd go out. Croatia is (was?) an amazing team and they still had almost the exact same team that made it to the final 4 years earlier

okay but they still were hyped. i remember when they were listed as number 1 on fifa rankings before the world cup and how much brazilian music was trending with the world cup despite it being in asia

Brazil was first because of how the rankings work, they carry over from year to year, there's no reset. Also the football culture in Brazil is MASSIVE, often times people interconnect the two (which means things carrying over, like their music, chants, etc.)

yes of course but croatia was still viewed as an underdog in this match and i cannot imagine many people were impressed by brazils overall performance in qatar

I think you're heavily underestimating how good Croatia actually was, but it's what it's

Actually, we Brazilians know that they selection is doomed

The president of CBF (Brazil National confederation) is a crooked corrupt that was putted in place from a measure by the supreme court.

Basically a corrupt politician that was condemned but couldn't be arrested because "yolo positivism rules yolo XD".

Brazilian players are chosen today not because they play the best football, but because their agents pay CBF big money to value their passes.

And it's all fault of Nike in the end of the day, kinda sad actually.

(We could talk about this for hours but i won't tire you)
