the only thing this tournament is better at madrid than is having more teams and being top heavy and there are only 3 good teams and 2 of them will be 2-0'ing every game until they meet then again in grands (Gen.G and 100T)

i believe every region has sent their best team in this tourney. Madrid is mickey miaw because the tourney only had 8 teams, and fluke team won that

Masters madrid winner couldn't even qualify for this mickey mouse tournament. I wonder how bad masters madrid was in your opinion

madrid was literally only bad because it had less teams this tournament is def more top heavy but the top teams are seperated in skill immensely

i still don't get how less teams is bad. Quality over quantity, at least madrid didnt have teams like drg and t1 who slipped though and didn't deserve to be there

Third seeds are doing better than first seeds. That is why less teams is bad.

I still don't get how it's so hard to understand that smaller sample space = more random /fluke results.

Yes upsets can happen. What I'm saying is wouldn't qualifying to a less team tourney be a bigger accomplishment than a larger one?

fnc beating th was a fluke. They never deserved 1st seed anyway

It is a bigger accomplishment when you play against more teams and win. Winning less matches is easier than winning more.

Didn't answer my question. Wouldn't qualifying to a less team tourney be a bigger accomplishment than a larger one? it balances out

In a game like Valorant where things are volatile, qualifying as first seed does not mean you are the best team. If only top two seeds qualified, Fnatic would still be in instead of FUT. So the overall quality would be worse. Of course, in most cases this does not happen, but it shows that more teams means the value of winning the entire thing is higher.

barely when u have teams that shouldnt get in and others that dont. look at lev. insane in the stage 1 then bomb out. DRX go UNBEATEN and they get sent out? T1 go through and u say thats not a fluke? it just doesnt make any sense how some of these teams get in. theyre mega inconsistent. the only consistent ive seen rn has been 100T. nobody else deserves it.
