No, they matter but you saying 5 matches to win an event is the least we've seen. That is wrong. Teams won an Event in 4 series.

Tokyo masters is the event, The regional split before is it owns seperate event

ok then i'll reword what i said.
to qualify to(no qualifiers) and win an event, 5 matches is the least we've ever seen.
i also originally inferred this when i said madrid was between 9 and 13 matches(i think it might be 14 but wtvr same difference)

That is better, thank you for rewording it.

Lock-in didn't have any qualifers because every francised team apart from CHINNNAAAAA was invited. That means ever single powerhouse team attended and had to go through the highest staked tournement that didn't allow any second chances (Single elim) ((most elite format))

im going to take this as a response to both my points
so you think Lock\in was the best format because it didn't have a group stage. this makes no sense ur gonna have to further explain this
it was no where near the highest stakes tournament(even excluding champs)
it had no direct implication on making champs, the most important events of the year, only on making tokyo
the least prize pool for winning the event EVER at 100k(masters reykjavik 2021 had 200k for first)
