am I the only one that doesn't think this will end well for NRG I mean they have the exact same 4 players that lost to BLG twice in a row and with Ethan instead of ardiis i feel like this team is a lot worse

I feel like they should've kept Demon1 and benched crashies seeing that Ethan outperforms him in the support role anyway

But that's just my thoughts really I don't think this team will be massively better than last year and most of this year

tbf ethan is a lot more flexible than ardiss and that gives nrg a lot more room in terms of comps.

true but Demon1 is also a lot more flexible than crashies and having a team of flexible players in this meta is what you want plus Victor will now have to deal with the stress of constant duelist which isn't very good that's why Demon1 would've been better seeing that he is one of the best Jett's in the world and proved he was extremely flexible on EG

he only played jett, brim and astra i think. thats not as flexible as crashies lol. his best performances was on jett, i dont think its wrong to call him a jett crutch at least for this season as his raze was just not up to the level it should have been. demon1 wasnt even consistent with jett so far, this break he will get is probably better for him if anything.

He played Jett , chamber , brim and Astra last season and this agent pool with his fire power is plenty enough for a team ( look at 100t and cryo) . If you want him to be more flexible, he can play agents like gekko and stufff, those agents are easy asf to learn and isn't demanding like raze. He isn't a jettt crutch and never was

Anyone that can play Astra and do well with them can flex to any character and play it at a good enough level aside from Raze cause of the satchel movement

Astra is probably one of the hardest characters to master and play well with and Demon1 was going crazy on her he can easily flex while crashies is a initiator only player plus the only times he flexed he did not look that good whatsoever

notice how in order to lose to blg you have to play blg, which means you have to make champions? also notice how the goal for nrg is to make champions? ethan clears ardiis any day of the week, ardiis off of jett was completely useless. this roster is just last year's but better.

just making Champions isn't good for a team like NRG though if they wanna win they need a team full of flexible players and crashies is just not that plus Ethan outperforms in terms of support in his best role and Demon1 has one of the best Jett's in the world and is extremely flexible so its easier for him to swap with Victor between maps plus not just one player has to deal with all the stress of duelist which will lead to more consistency of both players

midway into the season there's no way you can make roster changes good enough to win champs (demon1 in eg was still pretty early). this is the best they can do

They could atleast have a more flexible team with Demon1 which can lead to a lot more interesting comps and strats

crashies on the other is initiator only and only flexed a couple of times but during those performances he did not look good meaning that comps and strats are a lot more limited

Obviously Ethan is a huge improvement over Ardiis, but bringing back FNS and s0m with Demon1 on the bench seems nutty. Ch0t continues to be the slipperiest snake in VCT.

its just crazy you got a world champion Jett player who can flex amazingly and you prioritise someone who is less flexible and that's also gets cleared in his own role by his teammate

why there is nothing wrong with my take its just pointing out that they are prioritising someone with less flexibility and less impact when they literally have a world champion that can flex 10x better and will have a lot more impact for the team

i already said 1 or 2 benefits in #8

ethan is better than crashies, yes, but they had to keep the duo i guess. but ardiis was def not a great player with how chet used him, and synergy was prob off. ethan is a way better option

true Ethan is way better for the team than ardiis was its just stupid that crashies proves time and time again that he isn't a very flexible player and his impact is just barely noticed but I see more impact from Ethan playing the exact same role in the same game that's why I find it stupid they chose him over Demon1

I mean its great to see s0m and FiNESSE the team is 100% gonna be better and might qual for Champions but that is a very slim chance at least with Demon1 the flexibility and adaptability of him and all the players could guarantee Champions and get far in it
