Was FPX better than EDG

didn't watch much of VCT CN but just felt that FPX always have more potential than EDG

I think fpx is better in some maps, but edg have a bigger map pool to chose

In bo3 fpx > edg
In bo5 edg > fpx

yes give it some more time and they'll be the best from CN

regionally maybe but international edg > fpx 100%

FPX needs some time. Eventually it will become top 10 internationally.

FPX have more talent and a higher ceiling for sure. Just lacking discipline atm. Personally I see their comparison being similar to DRX and GenG. EDG being the old DRX roster and FPX being GenG. Once FPX has the discipline I think they’ll consistently be #1 CN

fpx had good ideas and they were really creative

It`s really hard to say.last time i talk to my friend,a real EDG fans ,i say FPX will destroy EDG in CN Final and other shit talk,but now i have been laughed more than hundred times,like a real clown with my friends.but you know,kangkang just so great,look like destroy us by himself ,espicially on icebox,he get 283 ASC in stage 1,last day i watch his rank,every game 350,even 400 in radient,FPX stop his operater with 3 smoke,but he just show us how good his vandel,i don`t know how to beat in a bo5,really sad,but maybe coaching staff will do better to beat EDG.

they are def on the right track. since the loss in masters they have started to giving up the chinese playstyle and adapt into the meta. everyone know they are 1 years behind the meta which forced them to abandon those sloppy playstyles. kangkang started to play rifles and new roles a lot, rest of the team started to swap roles as well. their line-ups are better, team coordination are better. and as for fpx, they def improved a lot in their strategies and execution a lot, personally i would say more than edg. they 2:0 edg in upper finals and won 1 game in the final in VCT CN. but edg just are overall wellrounded.

i mean these 2 play each other like every other day so i would assume they do a lot of heavy antistratting on each other that other teams dont which could tilt the outcome quite differently tbh

The playstyles are just different. FPX maintains a more "chinese" playstyle while EDG is structured and definitely more "western" in terms of tactics.

edg is like a nice burger and fpx are like a hotdog
