all their good players are in china anyways but its probably due to the fact that those countries despite being historically china dont want to associate with being part of it lol

Obvious political answer, both want to be recognized as their own country (Hong Kong is a bit mixed on that opinion actually).

Because they have different laws than the mainland region.

I heard that TW/HK player can choose if they have CN residency or TW, basically DRG is more a TW than CN. The fact TW is empty of all their good player, make me think the region should disappear and just fuse with Phillipinos (Since they already share the server) for the remaining player that really don't want to play in China... They already fuse with Mongolia, but it can be weird in long term if Mongolia ending dominating the region...

To be fair, I think T2 region in Asean should be redrawn not only for TW, but also for every other region. Take actual PRX for exemple : they couldn't compete in any T2 region because of residency, separating Indonesia, and MYSG is a bad thing, it make it harder to form a team and divide the pool of player even if the 3 country speak Malay (With differences, but it's still Malay). If at least they where enough big org to carry the 2 region but it's not the case, they are something like 4 or 2 real organization in both league, that make 2 league where team with org almost play against other team without org, and if they where fusing they would have an almost full league with orgs.

I also think Mainland Southeast Asia is a huge mess, we have no idea where Laos, Myanmar and Cambodian's team can play, also Vietnam is a little bit too weak and would gain competing more often against TH team, so a fusion could be a good thing (Especially with the population of TH starting to decrease), just open a server in Bangkok and you have a T2 redraw that match the actual position of servers. (Making the organization of T3 easier)
