Technically yes but he is not an actual “Indian” according to me. He is a Canadian cause he is brought up there.
He was born in Tanzania. His last name is Mehta, the Mehta community are Rajputs, a community that belonged to the Warrior class (Kshatriyas) in North India, so "it's in their blood" to fight. His parents are technically TANZANIAN but are of INDIAN Origin. This will explain everything.
Braindead take he's said multiple times that he is NOT ethnically Indian.
Just because he has an Indian last name doesn't mean shit, he could be like 6 percent Indian for all we know. Plus the Indians in Tanzania make up a very small percentage of the population.
Just take what he says at face value and stop overspeculating this
He's not Indian
I'm just doing my due diligence, if he said it on stream that his parents are NOT ethnically Indian then that's cool.
You don't need to get riled up about it.
ethnicity wise, hes most definitely indian. nationality wise, hes 0% indian. but we need a guy on that stage. its like u and tex.
as long as mobile games are more accessible and esports culture is shunned in india it will be very difficult for them, the amount of kids growing up playing console, pc games is also much less than other countries
I was watching a documentary about india and most indians cant even have a tv at home let alone a pc
Sad reality
83% of indian population lives with less than 5.5 dollars per day r u guys buying tv with that income? Well i guess entertainment is more important... priorities...
I actually do and we divide countries into high income, high middle income and low middle income... in low middle income countries most people cant buy a led tv
every house has a tv.BUT not everyone has a pc and Even more importantly Gaming pcs are even more rare. Most of pcs are for basic uses and features that would barely run anything
"Every house has a tv" isnt true but most indians can buy a tube tv it literally costs 20 dollars im talking about a led tv
This is a very valid point. Indian influencers also focus on mobile games causing this issue.
Earlier mobile gaming was also not there. Because of jio revolution, Indians got great internet access with less amount. Can't blame influencers because mobiles are portable and cheaper in price compared to gaming pcs
idk why they could do it with mobile but not with PC games. SEA for example, are majority mobile games countries.
yet somehow we can produce a large following on valorant.
FNS shows their potential. But population doesnt mean much when not a lot of that population plays valorant. korea is, across esports, more advanced than the US despite the US having 6x the population.
Compare India with other Asian countries.Although India has the same population as China, it does not have a PC gaming culture. There is no esports culture either. The Japanese market is dominated by console games, so Japanese e-sports is not as strong as China and South Korea too. Both China and South Korea have experienced a booming era of PC gaming, with China having a huge population and South Korea having strong government support.Besides having a population advantage, India lags far behind in other aspects
