Apparently, mibr invested money given by riot on their CS team and had nothing left to spend on their valorant team! You can't make that shit up. The should get booted out for this shit no?

SaltyMcNulty [#5]Now that I think about it, that MIBR playercard was probably a dig at valorant and riot! That's fked
dont forget sen is washed lmao
jawn [#3]as long as they pay their players i don't think riot give a fuck how they spend their money
There's a decent chance that there's a clause in the contract that requires them to spend it in relation to the vct. Especially thinking that now that they came out denying it but all just speculation on my end :]

that would be genuinely tyrannical, imagine working at a restaurant and the owner tells you you can only spend your paycheck in store

That is not the same 💀

it is, as long as they pay their players and provide what's needed for them i don't see how them spending the stimmy on other e-sport activities is bad

Wtf is that comparison. There's so many benefits being in the VCT that's why orgs strive to be in it, it's not just the stipends that are given. They are being paid to build a team in the league, it's not that insane that the money given for that slot would be intended to be used on that slot. Comparing Mibr's situation to a minimum wage worker feels like pretty bad faith tbh
