no series win makes sense, playoffs feel like a coinflip. imo, it doesn’t feel like it’s better competition, it feels like teams randomly do good and randomly do bad for seemingly no reason.

their set plays felt out of sync, someone on krü would die and then another teammate would die from the same angle, doesn’t feel like how they were playing against lev. they lost against lev but still played very well

c9 winning lev, 100t winning nrg, loud winnin sen, sen out of masters, kru freaking dominating in a 5-0, everything is wrong in americas

I don't think any of them has been "that surprising".

Americas
G2 beating C9. C9 has made every match difficult. While G2 has been consistent and dominant against bad teams.
100T beating LOUD. 100T has been playing well and LOUD clearly showed they were struggling during the season

Pacific
I believe T1 beating GenG was a surprise although we all knew they were at least a top 5 team in the region.
DRX losing to GenG and PRX shouldn't be that big of a surprise.

EMEA
Heretics have been on a meteoric rise since adding woot. Unlucky for Navi
Fnatic side of the bracket all had the same record. anything goes

Playoffs have not been surprising, besides maybe one or two minor upsets. Who qualified to playoffs was what was unexpected.
