Ive seen a lot of people complain about how franchising is killing the t2 scene in brazil, and I have a question. if riot chose brazil instead of LA, would the tier 2 scene in NA die? would we have seen a different ascension winner? I honestly don't think so. There was so much talent in north america last year so having an NA team win ascension was almost a guarantee for me personally. even now theres so many talented players in NA tier 2 and i dont think it's just because the teams have better scrim partners. im probably uneducated so if someone could educate me, id appreciate it.

Bro NA T2 is carried by Tarik watch parties and collabs with big names like moist and lud, dsg, etc. Basically NA has all the superstar streamers. Riot HQ being in Brazil would not change anything

Are we not talking about viewership/support? Wdym by franchising is killing T2 then? If you're saying franchising is taking players away from T2......... I don't see why that's a problem, they're will always be players replacing those T2 players.

idk i always see posts about how franchising is killing t2 and how americas being in the US is killing the br scene

it wouldn't die because its already developed, there are like 4 teams in T2 that could play in T1. and most of those teams scrim with T1 teams.

If it started out in BR, the same would be the case for BR

would it though? i dont know enough about the br scene to say anything, and im not trying to be offensive or anything, but what if na is just better?

like i said before, i dont know much since im a peak g2 and not an analyst nerd. how much do scrim partners affect your overall gameplay? I feel like it's based on how YOUR team plays, and the other team doesn't really matter AS much. is it because you can learn more from t1 teams?

at the end of the day, its like bren says: "you get shot, you die". does na have better aimers than br?

think about this, lets say you are a radiant team scrimming diamonds, are you gonna get any better by just beating diamonds? no.

NA could be just better but u would never know since BR never had a chance

alright that makes a lot more sense and idk how i didnt think of that, thanks.

but even before franchising there was talent in both scenes i assume, why isnt there as much now?

BR has to recycle talent already in tier 1 because their tier 2 scene is so weak.
Tier 2 teams has to play 150+ ping to scrim good teams in LA

Imagine being able to train with the best teams in the world every day.

Now put this in some years, what league do you think would do better?

Obviously tier 2 NA has an advantage, you guys should actually be ashamed of yourselves If you don't win Ascention every year.

practicing with the best teams doesnt change aim tho. you get shot, you die
