VCT Regular Season Format ???

This is the dumbest format I ever seen. Imagine all team in Group Omega beats Alpha's teams and Alpha teams still get 3 slots despite they can't even win a match, and then at stage 2 they play round robin but taking the whole tournament result to determain which team go to playoffs????

Why don't they just play round robin in stage 1 and play cross-group match in stage 2

Yeah I think riot realized and that's why they added the minimum 2 wins to qualify asterisk.

you need at least 2 wins to make playoffs in stage 1, if a team doesnt get it but gets top 3 the playoff slot goes to the next eligible team from the other group
