i feel like jett is significantly better than raze even if zekken's raze is significantly better than his jett
jett is a crazy solo play agent especially on a map like ascent where movement is very important, if there is no cypher jett will dominate (marteen today),
i believe johnqt's cypher is better than his kj, so it could go either way
kay/o 100% needed, and fade is a 50-50 with another smokes like harbor or initiators like sova and skye

jett could lockdown a whole site by her self with an operator ofc(watch how loud plays ascent as they mainly set the meta comp for it). when it comes to sova its much better because of the dart combo with flash, the drone is really vital and the ult is just free round win basically. cypher with the new buffs definitely works on ascent but harbor is crazy lmfao what does harbor do for you on ascent 💀

negate defense? there isn't any need for raze's util at all on ascent. jett can anchor sites with the operator better than Raze can, raze has better util going offensively but thats a big tradeoff for the defensive side. raze will probably 99% of the time die on entry due to no smokes and can't create as much space. the last thing you wanna do is try something new that you haven't practiced and scrimmed comfortably on against loud.

they NEED to run this comp but they wont, sentinels don't really have weird comps they just have the basic comps but perfected them

yeah but jett has better escape potential/entry potential, especially if she gets more than 1 dash per round, she can relocate fast unlike raze who will only get 2 satchels for the entire round
garden control is a lot better with jett if you op, and knives is very important for eco rounds (raze ult can get multiple but raze is unable to transfer weapons if jett takes one with knives since raze will most likely just keep the weapon from her ult kill)
IMO, jett is better for a map like ascent, but i think sentinels will pick raze

skye is useless on this map, specially after the nerf. There's a reason why no one runs it on ascent. harbor is horrible too, you already have viper. This si not IB, it's linear map. This is horrible tbh.

You need to know where people are for a fact to do dmg and even if you know you can't reliably shock someone in a spot due to the shock geometry issue, less dmg than before, ppl don't do the traditional plants anymore and a lot of the times it's too late. On retakes trying shocks is basically wasting time.

he changed that comp because there was film on it and they had time to cook up a new comp and new strats, in both cases they won 5/5 non pistol/2nd rounds on the defense half.
Enghh running it in the first place should symbolize it is still viable

the skye isn't even the focus of the comp why are you so obsessed with it.
you could run sova, fade, gekko, kayo, any initiator other than breach, skye is just the norm because she works so well with viper&harbor walls

Shocks are useful on this map because of killjoy, it's very useful to break nanos/alarmbots.

what Rishoo said + retaking shocks may not be as good as post-plant shocks, where sova can really shine.
there are many many lineups with sova, and you can always rely on sova to at least have the shock darts hit (if they lineups are good) since killjoy mollys/her kit is easily destroyed by spam. plus, kay/o molly and sova shock darts can add more stall while not risking any peeks.
fade cannot do that, however, with her "sucky thing" you can combo it with sova shocks or sova ult for kills. the post plant potential for sova is incredible, alongside his potential to kill someone taking orb or wallbang on ascent B with an odin, fade can do the same thing without the reliability of the stall potential/plant denial and a consistent information getting device (drone)

If you wanna play fade raze is better imo but other than that Jett clears on ascent, i agree.
