can someone REALLY dumb it down for me
this entire year of VCT i havent rly paid attention to any of the actual formats so can someone explain how the lcq works and how you qualify for it?
like use really simple words for me
10 teams compete in it. 8 teams from NA, 2 from Oceania. The 8 teams that compete in it from NA are circuit point holders 3-10 (since 1-2 already qualified with their circuit points). Not sure how the two Oceania teams are selected and If Soniqs would qualify as a Oceanic team or not.
This is the current circuit point standings:

Sheesh nicely done .
I might be wrong but I think it's that the top 8 teams with the most circuit points that haven't qualified for Champions (https://www.vlr.gg/vct/standings) All qualify then 2 teams from the Oceania Tour get invited to bring the total to 10. Again, I'm probably wrong so if someone could correct me, thank you.
You only get circuit poiunts from Masters and Challenger playoffs.
This is the points you receive from challenger playoffs

By qualifying to masters teams earn circuit points on a huge amount. By qualifying to Challengers Playoffs teams earn low amount of circuit points. After masters berlin teams who have higher circuit points qualify for masters. For example top 2 teams from Na circuit points standings go to champions and same with eu too and so on... The 3rd to 8th or in some regions other positions qualify for LCQ by circuit points.. Winner of each regions LCQ goes to champions

The oceanic teams are selected by Circuit points. OCE teams gain points through the Oceania Tour. It's pretty likely that Order and Wildcard qualify.

other regions get a chance as well with LCQs not just NA.

Other Regions LCQ Slots:
North America: 8 NA, 2 OCE
South America: 4 BR, 4 LATAM
Asia: 2 KR, 2 JP, 2 SEA, 1 VCC Winner, 1 Unknown (Maybe china)
EMEA: 7 EU/CIS/TR, 1 MENA

Yes its for champions. Each region gets a certain amount of slots for champions through circuit points and an additional slot through LCQ. NA gets 2 circuit point slots and 1 through LCQ. And remember, the winner of Berlin automatically quals for champions (essentially adding an additional champion slot for their region.)
All the main regions have a LCQ with the smaller ones being merged into the bigger ones. (ex: OCE being merged with NA)
No bracket info since the circuit point standings wont be finalizes until after Berlin
This explain Champions format and slot distribution

Imagine if it's actually China and they are allowed to have valorant in China and they have a circuit like a month before the LCQ. That'd bring so many more players. Bc China has so many people.
In the VCT, there are 4 Last Chance Qualifiers. 1 for Asia, 1 for EMEA, 1 for NA, and 1 for SA.
Note that for all of the slots (besides the VCC), the teams are selected from the top teams in circuit points who haven't already qualified for champions in their region.
Asia:
The Asia LCQ has 2 teams from SEA, 2 teams from Japan, 2 teams from Korea, 1 from the Valorant Conquerors Championship Champion, and 1 that is to be announced.
EMEA:
This is pretty simple. EMEA LCQ has 8 teams, 7 of which will come from EMEA, and 1 coming from the champion of Strike Arabia.
NA:
In the NA LCQ, there are 10 teams, 8 of which come from NA, and 2 from the Oceania Tour.
SA:
Finally, in the South America LCQ, there 4 teams from Brazil, and 4 teams from Latin America, making 8 teams.
Hope this helped a bit lol
