does the quality of teams get better every tournament? for example, if we had 2023 EG vs 2022 LOUD, would it be a wash for EG or would the quality of the team and skill not have increased that drastically, and it would be close? of course at a bigger scale, any franchise team today would wipe the floor with 2021 SEN, but does the same happen in a shorter period of time?

Hard to compare since meta changes. The game was played so much more different in 2022 compared to 2023 because of chamber meta. Teams made weird comps just to counter/play chamber (think triple initiator on ascent). I think the answer to your question should be more clear for the 2023 and 2024 season since the metas will probably be more similar

yeah you’re right that’s what makes me so confused 😭 would a chamber optic from 2022 be able to beat a perfectly coordinated and super team in 2023 fnatic?

this is a bad example because Loud 2022 is the greatest roster assembled and would beat EG, FNC, etc. they lost like 4 series all of 2022(when you played A LOT more) and 1 was to their kruptonite and 3 to optic
