Hello, VLR, it is the number 1 sen fan here, to explain why nepotism is bad! (Part 1?)
Lets start with the google definition "the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives, friends, or associates, especially by giving them jobs". In esports there is usually nepotism in some teams, but today we are focusing on the valorant scene, more specifically the 2023/coming into the 2024 season.
The most egregious example in 2023 is Sen imo. When dephh was announced there was already people worrying considering he was only a co IGL on xset. Sen also brought along the coach from xset, Syyko. There was obvious growing pains, but it showed vs NRG, lev(sometimes) C9 and EG. The team looked clueless against those teams and it didn't help that Dephh couldn't aim to save his life. Syyko got dropped after only the 3rd game in their season! Crazy right? But due to the new interview from GOAT Moore, he revealed information that the team clashed on what they wanted to do. Dephh stepped down shortly after due to him not liking the game, syyko leaving and i assume shit team atmosphere. Is itn possible that these people from xset (dephh and syyko were just frauds) This might be harsh to say, but dephh is the reason they lost to loud 🤣. I wonder what yall think though......
I personally think Sen cucked themselves and shouldve just gotten kaplan to HC instead, got marved dapr and trent and keep tenz and zekken. (Personally)
Another egregious example is fucking nepotism9 Or Cholesterol 9. In 2024 they picked up vanity back... Even after him somewhat? shit talking the org in lcq or near the end of the reg season idk I forgot. Then picking up wippie which people thought was interesting bc there is a 1000 players in tier 2 that deserved it more (arguably) Then (REALLY HOT TAKE) they kept xeppa who looks at least on the outside washed. Maybe the meta in 2023 didnt fit him I forget but like I said there is so many players in tier 2 that deserve new shots. Im glad Cholesterol 9 got oxy though, bro is the goat.
