People focus heavily on the big, grandiose aspects in life that they forgot the fact that the little things that we're not giving much care of are what shapes us. Dynamics between you and your family members, environment, sleep quality, communication and such. These are important things that we give little efforts to think about but it affects our mental health the most. Tackling these things and celebrating the simplicities in life are what makes us feel content, a feeling everyone should learn to have.
Lower your phone usage little by little everyday. Also try to not use it outside unless it's important. As you progress you eventually lose the instinct to go for your phone every time you want to escape what ever predicament you're in, making you feel less shitty about yourself. You'll find talking to people less irritating and insufferable, and instead find comfort in it.
Shower everyday. It feels good. It clears up your mind.
start a physical exercise routine. It doesn't matter what it is really, it could be a simple 10 minutes walk or it could as extreme as jogging for a couple of miles. What matters here is the act of doing things through our short earth days that makes you feel good about yourself. No matter how insignificant it might be, it adds up overtime.
Talk to your family and open up to them more. Your family are the ones with you in your life the most. Both in your vulnerable times and your happy moments, they're there with you. So make sure you're comfortable in speaking your mind with them because if you're not comfortable letting out what you harbor to people you're with the most then who are you going to be fully comfortable with? You'll live your life stepping on eggshells around everyone.
Clean your surroundings both physically and metaphorically. Cut off the people who clouds up your mental state but also clean your room/house. A healthy surroundings can us feel much more comfortable and happy. I personally start off my day with doing my bed and sweeping the floor a bit but you do you.
Last is sleep. This is probably the most important one because it affects our mood and attitude so much that a bad one can turn us into such miserable beings and we don't even have the mental capacity to be aware of it because the only thing that clouds up our mind is "i want to sleep". A bad sleep makes us feel always tired and sluggish and makes us perceive things in a negative way. On the other hand, good sleep can be the difference maker between us taking a leap of faith and finally getting that dream job and us not doing anything but simply daydream about it because we're too pessimistic to even try. So sleep well.
