eWok the GOAT!
There's a lot of interesting stuff inside the interview some examples:
Ewok was apparently coaching on a team in south africa before moving to SEA.
When Ewok was trialing with GE, he was also coaching collegiate teams in NA. So during the day he coached Ge, at night the collegiate teams. (this trial period was 1 month long I think) and then of course the GE thing didn't really go through
Immediately after the GE trial was over, the next day the onic trial started.
During the 2nd day of onic trial, onic's player shiro impressed Ewok with his 1v5 sheriff clutch in a scrim (probably one of the reason he joined).
Ewok confirm RRQ plan was going to be Indo - PH mix from the start (to keep PH fans)
apparently during the GXE tournament in India or whatever , RRQ was not informed that the playoffs was based on round differential.
During the entire year of 2023, RRQ was facing problems regarding duelist performance (hence why they changed around comps)
They tried Lmemore on Initiator, but it didn't really work out as lmemore is a more reserved player more suited to play sentinel.
2GE is cracked, very talented.
The reason why EJAY was kicked is because of inconsistency issues he was struggling in the entire year
RRQ will stick to more permanent 5 man roster in the future. The 6th slot will be probably for sub.
Jemkin is cracked, a very good duelist that knows when to aggress and when to play disciplined. Also is very vocal in calling supporting util like flashes, etc.
Astrella was picked to fill in some holes in the roles, to make the team more flexible. Will be playing initiator for 2024 season which allows xffero to return to his controller role.
Jemkin signing process was very long, and there were some doubts if he were to be signed in the middle, hence RRQ looking for other options. In the end the contract was signed.
Theres probably like 50 other things I missed from the video.
I watch the full vid, I'll add some:
