I peeked Immortal twice, one time i soloqueued up to there. Here are some tips for some lower ranked players. If you are above ascendant, ignore this thread (even though many ascendant players suck dick and maybe could get a tip off from here)
The golden things
- Sleep - Get some good sleep. You will NOT perform with 3 hours of sleep. Anything above 7 is valid imo.
- Water - Keep Yourself hydrated. Its so insanely important. You aint winning shit without a clear flowing mind.
- Fresh Air - Atleast ventilate your room, even go for a walk if youre feeling like it.
- Cold Shower - This is something i experienced myself, take a cold shower before playing and your raw aim gonna be 10000x better ong. Google Wim Hof Method.
In Game
- Warmup - DO IT. Consistantly. Every day, the same thing. I recommend 2x DM 2x TDM.
- Deathmatch - Focus on hitting head only. I go Deagle only. Let me tell you, the kills dont matter jackshit. Even if you get 5 kills, if you think your discipline is good, its good enough.
- TDM - This is where the aim comes in handy. Get your peeks and shooting ready for ranked.
Aim tips
- Watch Demon1 montages
- Try to stand still and shoot, dont overabuse counter strafe, you rather want to hit a bullet instead of strafing back and forth and missing every shot. Focus on the enemies head, actually focus your eyes on it, switch your eyes to "zoom mode" if that makes sense.
- Take your time.
Tactics - Learn these things to make the best out of your team
- Crossfire
- Peek off Contact
- Bait
- Spray through smokes using minimap
General
- Optimize everything you do. For example on Weaponchoice, if you have a classic you dont want to take long range fights. Find better fights, use walls and cover to your advantage and force close range fights.
- Use Peekers Advantage.
- The Reverse applies, if you are holding an angle, dont stand still but strafe out and back into cover. You generally must hold angles around cover unless youre playing Reyna/Jett/Chamber (really, if you dont do this youre braindead).
- If you feel like being a dickhead, Abuse Operator and Judge
- Abuse Off angles
Strats
- Aint gonna type allat but simple thing you can watch out for is to abuse enemy comps weaknesses
- ENEMY NO CONTROLLERS: Abuse Operators, Crossfires and Play together as team as you can trade easily
- ENEMY NO INITIATOR: On Attack Abuse Contact pushes because enemy has no utility to gather information, the only way for them to get information is by peeking as a player and if youre playing together as a team you will always punish that. By playing Contact (Contact = Dont Make noise, sneak up and take map control without enemy noticing, on enemy contact explode and take space quickly and aggressively) you keep the enemies guessing and they cannot make confident rotations and you will always play man up advantages.
- ENEMY NO SENTINEL: Abuse fakes, i personally dont recommend though
- ENEMY NO ENTRY (Jett, Neon, Raze, Yoru): When YOURE DEFENDING and the enemy dont have Entry, you won. The main job of an entry is to create space for team and create a gunfight from multiple angles. But if the enemy has no entry, they are all forced to enter by the same chokepoint. Therefore, you have to simply hold the choke abusing mollies and flashes. One pop flash is deadly as everybody will be spread around on site no clue what to do. Also take midcontrol. As the enemies dont have an entry they will want to spread out the attack over two chokepoints --> take mid for attack. If you maintain mid control, you give the enemy team no chance
