you can buy skins directly from the steam community market or a 3rd party site like skinport/buff. cases are only for gambling
really depends on what skins/knives/gloves you're looking for, i recommend checking cases on csgostash
don't gamble. just buy the skins you want from the community market or use a 3rd party site. although most of the good ones are REALLY expensive.
