Just got a warning that the SMART health of my secondary drive (HDD) is starting to get low
need a new hard drive, what should I get?
capital_d_colon [#2]Get a ssd especially if you don't have one to begin with.

Get a M.2 SSD if your motherboard supports it. All you gotta do is remove two screws and plug it in.

Not really.
Atleast for me all it took was plugging it into the motherboard + powersupply.

I think I only have one slot for M.2 SSD and its being used by my C: drive. Im not sure tho I cant really understand the motherboard specs
motherboard is PRIME H310M-E R2.0 if anyone can help
Get a m.2 Nvme SSD and clone your windows from the HDD to the SSD for faster boot up and overall speed. You won't lose any data.
You can buy any brand nvme ssd but do compare the read and write speed before buying. Higher the better.
Check this video to learn how to clone

Looks like it only a singular slot, you can still go for like a decent sata drive or buy a higher capacity m.2 and replace the old one

My current M.2 is really small and it would be nice to have a better one so I might just replace all the storage in my PC, 1 M.2 SSD and secondary storage SATA drive but would it be a big hassle to replace everything and set up windows and everything in my PC again?

It does take its time to replace everything, you could install your ssd first and then clone your windows into that, then flash back from that to the new m.2 to save time, it generally isn't actual hassle but more of just having to wait for stuff to load and download etc

I think I am just gonna replace all the storage because my current SSD isn't looking too good either, thanks for your help man

Yeah that sounds like a good plan, I recently did the same with my old ass drives, just replaced it all with faster m.2's
Not sure if you can private message on here but I would go with an SSD storage drive instead of a Harddrive storage drive. Few things.
