Why is it even an issue as long as the new org satisfies the criterias and keeps the core players that won Ascension. Cz this will repeat again. Leo can blabber all about signing contracta before ascension, but no org is looking that forward to operating next year in such a volatile non profit industry in case the small probability they do win Ascension. Most sign it saying, let's win first then we will worry about the future.

Clearly Riot owns the slot anyways. By promoting no one that is clear. If a team tried to sell their spot they could tell them to fuck off. which is probably what happened here. Fuck The Guard.

Why does it matter tho.. Like he himself said, it should be earned in game not out of it . So as long as the players get into the franchised leagues, who cares if they play under a new org as long as it satisfies riots criterias of participation.

I agree with you. The the players on the Guard should be allowed to work with Riot and find a suitable team to represent them.

But I think the issue was The Guard wanted to sell the spot, Riot wouldn't let them and with 0 communication this was the result. Very poorly managed
