riot is questionable.

People express concerns about the lack of diversity in leadership roles everywhere, and in response, Riot Games hires Leo Faria, an individual who obviously lacks the necessary qualifications for effective management. However, the onus for this hiring decision falls on Riot Games, not Leo Fario. This raises the question: were there not candidates available who were both diverse and adequately skilled for the position? The situation gives the impression of being questionable, if not deliberate. It seems likely that there were more competent individuals who also met the diversity criteria, yet they were bypassed for some reason. As for the underlying agenda behind this decision, I am trying to figure it out.

they have precautions to make sure the org is fit, but don’t have precautions if the org isn’t fit for franchising? obviously the guard can be at fault here but riot quite literally just made all of americas ascension a bunch of showmatches

bro wtf are u talking, its completely riot's fault. these mfs planned out whole year of tour for the ascension and didn't think what would happen if the org that won wouldn't take the promotion to franchising

Obv the guard is shit org, but since its patnership and not franchise, why wouldn't they just gave the spot to the players so they can find new org

it’s crazy how the valorant community want the system to be more open in Tier 2 and Tier 3 but then complain about how Riot doesn’t make sure the orgs that sign those teams are fit for franchising… absolutely ridiculous

if we’re going to make open qualifiers and ascension be truly accessible then we’re going to have to recognise that some orgs will not be fit for franchising

I agree that giving the spot to the players is probably the better option in this case, but you have to understand that the org owning the spot makes sense. They were the ones that payed for salaries, invested into the project etc. If TheGuard dropped its core and picked up Marved, yay and other free agents before next season no one would bat an eye cause it’s their right to the spot, just like how here the players don’t own it. However, since the guard is forfeiting it, I agree that the players should have ownership
