recency bias against fnc is crazy

lock in:
fnc: 1st | eg: ro8 | loud: 2nd | prx: ro16

regionals reg season:
fnc: 1st (9-0) | eg: 6th (4-5) | loud: 1st (8-1) | prx: 2nd (7-2)

regionals playoffs:
fnc: 2nd | eg: 3rd | loud: 1st | prx: 1st

toyko:
fnc: 1st | eg: 2nd | loud: 8th | prx: 3rd

champs:
fnc: 4th | eg: 1st | loud: 3rd | prx: 2nd

  • fnc had by far the best year
  • eg showed constant improvement
  • loud had a mid year slump but recovered
  • prx was consistent but never pulled through

current rankings:
too difficult to say, each of these teams could beat the other depending on the day
this is how I would rank them:

  1. eg
  2. prx
  3. loud
  4. fnc

2023 rankings:

  1. fnc
  2. eg
  3. prx
  4. loud

People forget Fnatic only lost 3 series all year.
1 of those 3 was a seeding match

EG had a far more impressive run, from being one of the worst in all of franchising, to 2nd at tokyo, to winning champs

FNC were a boring superteam smurfing on shitty newly formed teams at lock-in, and stomping on the lackluster competition at tokyo

Better than going 0-4 against Billi Billi.
Loud had been hard anti-stratting them since lock-in

Fnatic was newly formed as well lmao
Most teams had the same core so this is just bullshit
Prx and Drx had the same squad.
Loud, Nrg, Navi, 100T,C9,... all had the same core just like Fnatic

dawg it was a mickey mouse exhibition event with no seeding or double bracket, it doesn't mean shit who won.

How is PRX above Loud in the 2023 ranking?

Clown antics to count Lock//in when Riot mentioned it was just an exhibition tournament. Fnatic has been 1-2 against LOUD in 2023 which in itself ranks them below LOUD. Not to mention the 1 series they won was in an exhibition event and they lost twice in the only major event of Champs, eventually LOUD kicking them out.

Champs is the most important event and it is unbelievable how NA teams have made back to back champ grand finals.

Real ranking for 2023
:

  1. EG
  2. PRX
  3. LOUD
  4. FNC

How is PRX above Loud in the 2023 ranking?

PRX won their APAC event, then came 3rd in Tokyo and 2nd in Champs. LOUD is really close but have to rank them 3rd. LOCK//IN doesnt count same as Redbull or Tarik invitational doesnt count.

Stop including lock in man. It was a show tourney. 1st place prize was $100,000. Compare that to champions where 1st place was $1,000,000. Fnatic couldn't even beat liquid to win EMEA.

you come to a tournament with no idea of your opponent's best maps, comps, playstyle and have to make on the fly decisions and adaptations, single elim meant more pressure on the teams to win otherwise they are out

Prx went 0-1 at lock in

If lock in doesn’t count then Fnatic definitely didn’t have the best year

assuming lock in doesnt count:

fnatic still won 1 international trophy, more than loud and prx
