For about 400 years, the term "New World" has been established for those distant lands which suddenly came to the knowledge of European nations through the great feat of Columbus. Over the New World, people forgot that a similarly unknown part of the old world continued to remain not much less familiar than America was four centuries ago. The vast continent of Africa remained until our time the dark portion of the world, of which the Phoenicians and Romans knew more than the greatest seafaring nations of our time did until about 30 years ago. Since then, a series of explorers, driven by an unprecedented dedication to science and culture, ventured into the most uncharted lands, facing remarkable dangers. They possessed the same courage and enthusiasm for their cause as Columbus did, and they have, once again, revealed a new world. From that point on, all eyes turned to this new world, and its discovery during the early 19th century held significance not much lesser than the discovery of the Americas during the 15th century.
No probs man. Although i have to say that even when german is arguably my best language, its insanely difficult to read and actually understand
German is a FUCKING HARD language, especially the grammar.
And also old articles, texts are written in a more formal style, which is more complex to read. Sometimes i understand absolutely nothing of those texts.
Oh I see
I believe this happens due to the language structures – German being synthetic, allowing you to use a single word like 'Naturwissenschaft' to refer to something, whereas we need three words like 'ciências da natureza' in Portuguese. Also, the phonetics play a role. French is truly captivating (my second favorite Romance language). I'm really eager to learn German; it's my second favorite language after Portuguese (I used to play Val in German). If you ever need assistance with Portuguese, feel free to call me, my friend 🙏
Yes, simply putting words together is normal for us, and its something you will find everywhere while learning german
Also thanks for the offer bro, much appreciated. I hope to complete french in the next year or so, then i will shoot my shot for other languages. If you ever need help for german, dont hesitate to message me broski 🙏🙏
