Most likely no wins this yr for any LANs, every team under performed/were straight up dogshit except the one team everyone clowned on at the start of the year (EG). Man hopefully next year it wont be as bad.

Considering we won a major both years yeah it’s def the worst unless EG can pull something out of their asses

I cant tell if they got worse, stayed the same or were saving strats. The EDG game is their make or break game for me. In order to be championship winning material they gotta win against EDG by a large mile since EDG is the mid point for teams in play offs rn (not bad not champion contenders)

Honestly, I think in terms of regions we’re the only ones who downgrade in firepower.

EMEA has FNATIC, Liquid (they just did not performed)

Pacifix has PRX (addition of something)

NA has well…nothing. None of our teams upgraded in a sense. Maybe Sentinels but they didn’t perform at all. NRG was a clear downgrade from last year. EG maybe but that’s lightning in a bottle

yk whats crazy. If c9 won that game against EG they would have went to tokyo. Hell if MIBR didnt win that game against 100t EG most likely would have been our LCQ spot. Who knows maybe c9 might have made a run but they ended up choking every time it mattered. A roster that had so much potential.

C9 messed up despite their constant improvements after dropping Yay.

Yay was arguably the best NA player in 2022. Out of the 52 games he played for Optic/NRG, he only has gone K/D negative 2 times.

NA duelists this year has been disappointing so far. Demon1 and Ardiss feels really inconsistent.

the problem of c9 is that their improvement came on waves and not progressively

poor Zellsis i just wanna see him suck dick at international event. He needs to teach these CN teams how to really put on a show for the audience yk?

yeah, im pretty sure c9 will progress next year, but roster changes for this new roster isnt what i think could help this team out, their peak was 2021 with xeta then they swapped things and every new c9 were a disaster until this new roster, i dont think changing their most successful roster so far is supposed to be their best move but fans got undewhelmed on lcq because they think kru and lev arent contenders for c9, but imo it was just more of lev and kru's merit than c9´s downfall.

anyone know how hltv was during astralis era?

was the major influx of european users killing the site or was it still stable with banter from all regions?

i feel like vlr is gonna go to shit, the more trophies fnatic win and more european users join, it is what it is...

i mean theres so many new baiters ever since fnatic won lock//in and tokyo

Bruh Europe always dominated CSGO even before Astralis. Asia has never been good in csgo. Maybe the old source days but that shit is ancient.

honestly i dont think we r gonna have that sorta of era, but rather smth more similar to league. FNATIC is just like the fnatic when franchisng/worlds started. EU dominated the starting of the scene but when china/korea got ahold of the game they slowly started taking over. FFS China has only only had val for a month. Imagine the amount of ranked demons like Demon1 (pun unintended) just waiting for their chance. I fully believe unless other regions start matching the world load Asia has we are going have smth similar to the SKT1 era in league.

NA has the best win rate of every region / sub region this year, and the only REAL major before this we had 2 teams that got 2nd and 4th.

If that's the "worst" year for NA, you're holding NA to a pretty ridiculous standard

well shouldn't i expect more from a region who had the earliest success and have been in this game for 3 years? Isn't it a lil strange that CN has more teams then we do RN. Obv we arent comp dogshit (yet) but like no one just becomes dogshit, its a slow fall. SEN didnt do that shit in berlin but what happened after that one "drop in standards" . Worst of all SEN is just a team, we are talking about a region rn.

Bro, China brought 3 teams that they didn't have to compete against another region for, and we brought 2, no shit they had one more make it to playoffs + that one more team making it to playoffs was literally just up to NRG, how is that a big enough sample size to measure a regions downfall.

If NRG would have one a single game, NA would have been 2/2 for teams brought and China would've been 1/3... so ur telling me, your whole perspective of how good a region is weighed on that single game?

China also has the least exp out of all regions in this tourney, and im talking about this year as a whole.

NRG lost to PRX with a sub in tokyo, c9 constantly choked when it mattered, 100t and SEN were non existent throughout the whole year. The only team that was performing was EG. Even during the Optic age, we had XSET who made a decent run at champs, 100t got unlucky by being placed in the same group as DRX and FNATIC. But like last year our champs teams got eliminated by FNC and FPX, which are pretty good teams. This year our 2nd best team lost to a china team with no LAN exp before that game. Hell in 2021 we only dropped the ball at champs but in iceland and berlin we did hella good. You can't tell me that this year wasnt a drop off from the prev years.

  • C9 was literally 8-1 and just choked in LCQ because Kru went on a brief hot streak, but that literally has nothing to do with the international standing of NA because they didn't even represent NA once

  • 100T and Sen never even got close to representing NA so I have no fucking clue where any of this shit matters

  • NRG literally got 4th last event what r u on about???? Obv they performed, they got 4th and knocked out EMEA's number 1 seed

  • Our second best team also lost to X10 in champs in 2021, then won iceland the next year, and X10 is a lot fucking worse than BLG is right now relative to the competition, so that literally means nothing, when NRG has proven since the second lan ever that regardless of how they lose or win they always come back the next event

  • In 2021 we were ass aside from iceland, and we DEFINITELY dropped the ball at berlin, and 100% at champs

I made a thread abt a month ago abt this shit right after Tokyo, since 2021 NA's international Lan win-loss ratio has increased by like 5-10% every 2 events. Literally the only constant is that NA wins more and more with time, this wasn't a drop off at all, as a region NA had the highest win percentage in Sao Paulo, highest win percentage and best overall performance at Tokyo, and we literally had 2 slots for champs with one of them not dropping a map.

I rem how hard i was on that 100t cope till i was blessed by Kangkang. Ever since then i started supporting EDG as my new fav underdogs. Are we gonna win it all? prob not but at least we have a shot unlike 100t.

Not really trophy wise NA won one last year thanks to optic and now EG took over by coming second in tokyo, Last year optic carried this year hopefully EG will carry NA and NRG is like XSET from last year

#29
Rodu

okay but like XSET at champs lost to FPX (and it was a hella close game) the prev masters winners, 100t lost to FNATIC (stacked roster for its time). Optic lost to loud (at gf). Guard weren't even that bad they lost to PRX and OPTIC (on their first LAN). we dont talk about what happened to XSET against Lev. We went from losing to Champion/major winning rosters to fucking BILLY BILLY GAMING.

You are still underestimating BilliBilli just like everybody did prx with cgrs and surely we dont mention 100 bums and the gourd from 2022 (also i dont even rate FNC 2022 in top 5 teams of that year). They are doing fine if not for franchising prolly c9 would have gone home instead of NRG

#31

I'm not saying they are bad, but like NRG had every reason to win, home crowd advantage, better player quality, more LAN exp, and better Anti stratting analyst team. They still lost despite all of this.
