Could the VCT work the way DPC works for Dota?

dota 2 has the best system so far but riot has already made up their minds with regards to how tier 1 valorant should work. the best we can do is to pressure them to make tier 2 more exciting and add more splits or 3rd party tournaments in between splits.

if they add 2 more slots to each league i can see this working

The Leo guy from Riot implied that T1 is with "The best players in the world". Seeing how the Guard plays and also played in the past, coming from T2, and also the players from M80, I could say without a doubt that if, next year many teams don't make changes, they will just stay for the warm franchising slot. (KC/Heretics/BBL for example on EMEA, Sentinels/100T/Furia on Americas).
