Leviatán had lost five straight series after the KRU loss in their matchup yesterday and seven of their last eight coming in. kiNgg talked about their struggles and how they bounced back in today's game after the match.
“It felt really good to win,” he said. “We felt kinda scared to do our stuff during the season and yesterday, but we came out today and proved who we really are today as the underdog.”
That status as an underdog only grew after Leviatán surprisingly picked Fracture as their map pick. Leviatán often bans the map, and hadn't played it since LOCK//IN when they lost 13-2 to

. Sentinels had just dismantled C9 13-5 on it yesterday.
An opening 6-2 lead for Sentinels made it seem like more of the same from Leviatán in their recent matches. Back-to-back clutches from Shyy in the first half kept the game close at 6-6. Ultimately, Leviatán came alive to win 11 of the next 13 rounds to take the first map 13-8. Fracture played out to be very defensive-minded, with many rounds played out very slowly. The three duelists across the lobby combined for just nine kills total when attacking.
zekken was cool, calm, and collected in this impressive 1v2.The teams headed to Split for the second map, even with both squads dropping it in their matches yesterday. Leviatán jumped out to a quick 5-1 lead on their defense side after picking up an insane thrifty round win with .06 seconds left on the defuse.
Sentinels overall struggled with gaining easy access to bomb sites on attack, ending the half at an 8-4 deficit. After losing the pistol, the North American squad folded, falling 13-4 on their map pick. Sentinels put together just six full-buy rounds across the 17 rounds on the map.
Tacolilla has struggled for most of the season, but came alive in map two.It was a team effort from Leviatán across the board, but Mazino and kiNgg played particularly well, with a 1.41 and 1.37 rating respectively. The entire result was a massive turnaround from the past couple months of play from Leviatán. kiNgg now leads the entire LCQ in K/D at 1.52. He is also second in rating, ADR, and kills per round.
“After yesterday, we were very mature about what we wanted to say after the loss,” Shyy said. “Today, we came with the mentality to be able to come through with a win.”
