Why do so many indians and chinese people come to the US for university?

Its because we provide the highest quality education in the world

I know so many indians and even my parents and relatives moved from India to the US for university because it is just better

Also idk about public highschools but I went to a private highschool in the US and the education was soooo good

The public system varies widely and the universities are mostly the best because it's an order of magnitude better funded than the next best, like Ecole/Tsinghua. If we're talking research US is on top by a mile because NSF and DOE funds are in the trillions of bucks. If we're talking teaching kids... lol

This is true but the reason is that there are a lot more top-tier universities in the US than in India and the US also ahs a much lower population

India has a much higher population, but less top tier universities which is why they have to be more selective when deciding who to admit

Its not because Indian universities ar better, its just because of less good universities and MORE people

because its really hard to get into get top indian colleges. They only check ur intelligence thru entrance exams (gaokao and JEE). Where as the american SAT is very easy to anyone studying highschool in asia (maybe not english). They also check their extracurricular activities too which a lot of people are interested in rather than studying 5-6 hours daily
