loser's queue

Do you think riot puts this in their games? and before you say "skill issue," the math doesn't add up

I'll play some unranked mode and win/lose 8+ in a row. that is statistically improbable

and "tilt" isn't the issue either. usually playing the same or during loss streaks, better than avg

maybe not a "loser's queue" (although i still believe that exists), but their mmr or whatever match making system is flawed

they still use some type of match making for unranked modes i believe

Yep it is very flawed. My unhidden mmr is so bad as last act I was asc 1-d3 and had a 1.3kd out of 90 games in comp but all my lobbies were in diamond2-3 so I was almost always the highest rank or almost the highest rank and I couldn't rank up.

It is actually statistically probable but sure. Like lets say after 40 games you join the losers queue and lose 8 times in a row. That is not statistically improbable

I think unranked games are supposed to be 50/50 unless you're better than the avg joe. losing 10 in a row is 0.0009765625. extremely unlikely

its not 50/50 tho bc valorant is flawed and there are so many other factors

Clusters of results are expected if everything is random tho

your assuming that the games are independent
but they aren't because they all have you playing
so, unironically skill issue

losers q isn't real and doesn't even make sense to implement, if you play badly they will just put you with lower mmr
smurf q atleast has reason to exist

ofc I’m assuming bc it’s a lot easier to do 0.5^10 than invent a changing probability out of thin air. riot’s goal is to give you a match that you have a 50% chance of winning. even then, your skill doesn’t change drastically btw games. Val changes more bc your aim could be off but LoL def not. it still statistically does not make sense. you may be a moron

the chance of getting 10 losses in a row after playing only 10 games is indeed low but it is not the case that the chance of losing ten times in a row will always low after playing n games.

whats the diff between ranked n unranked

much bigger range of mmr for unranked. on an account I never played ranked on, I would always get pro players or radiants in unrated/swift play games. I also think there is a threshold so new players don’t immediately get shit on for first few games
