Did Riot Also make the ruling Val Like LoL that it isn’t necessary for Academy rosters to exist or Did they make it so Academy rosters are not a thing anymore?
Why? Academy rosters were very good for building up players from the ground up, + They helped orgless teams to become salaried as well- why not let them field academy rosters- and if the roster wins ascension, let a new org buy the spot??
Because what happens if the academy wins ascension? Riot doesn’t want selling spots they want to give the spots. Ascension and academies are not compatible it’s one or the other
:( im just asking for academy rosters because Orgs are leaving the scene like crazy in emea and will other regions will start if challengers doesn’t work out.
M80/Guard/G2 will stay but who knows OXG/SR/FAZE will pull out, TSM already kicked their coaches and i think their players are next. :(
It was rumored, but it was clear the concern became "What if the academy team wins Ascension?" That's probably why teams didn't register Academy teams to Challengers. But Leo did say Riot is looking into integrating Academy teams into the ecosystem in some ways, so look out for that.
