KAST is a metric that calculates the contribution of each player per round based on the number of rounds they played. It is basically shorthand for KILLS, ASSISTS, SURVIVED and TRADED.
So can we judge how impactful a player is from his KAST%?
sheahhhh [#3]no how can a duelist get high kast if they are entrying
a, s, and t go out the window
Nahh, its only s out the window. They still can assist and traded offcourse. T means traded not trade your teammates. So if u survive, u not get the T, vice versa. Thats why both duelist or support has same probability for KAST (duelist probably can't get the S, and support probably can't get the T, but if support get the T, they won't get the S)
cobalt21312 [#2]kinda, it doesnt count some util usage like sky flashing a empty area to clear it etc
Yeah true
blazennn [#6]it’s one of the best metrics to use but shouldn’t be the only one taken into account if using stats to gauge a player
Yeah thats why like vlr, thespike, tracker, etc have their "Rating" calculation. But from what is seen on the stats, the average high rating is directly proportional to the KAST
