True, however they played like shit watching ScreaM's stream. I also don't have high hopes for them going further. Yes, tactically they atleast look decent and have an IGL (unlike G2 LUL) but in the end it all comes down to hitting shots.. Look at FPX for example, put together the best players on one team and look at the results now. G2's also same. I don't think you will go far like in Val with CS bs like "oH BuT hE iS a SupPoRt player".. In liquid's case, it's more like 3-4 supports.. I'll repeat myself, in a few months, once some decent pros from CS makes the switch, there's no way any of these teams like Liquid will be able to compete.
What's your thought on this?
I think it's too soon to say, and you shouldn't overreact just because they lost a bo1. You have to remember that other than ScreaM, they have fairly young and inexperienced players that will progress a lot in the upcoming months.
At the very least, I don't remember the Liquid roster getting clapped in a bo3 or losing against an underdog in such a format. They just go unlucky today with Lateks dropping the best game of his life with a 30 bomb on the 2nd Bind. The dude went 1/14 right after on Bind against FPX, so yeah.
i actually think Liquid showed plenty of progress during last tournament, for example. I definitely believe they have the quality to compete at the highest level, but they're not consistent enough right now.
Have you not watched any of Liquid's games? Idk where tf you got that Liquid doesn't hit there shots and that they are all support players other than ScreaM, it's just flat out wrong. If you watched multiple maps Liquid has played you would know that L1nk, Kryptix and soulcas are no support players. ec1s is the only support player on Liquid and some games he's much more.
