What are your favorite breakfast meals?
I'll start.
Buttered toast with scrambled eggs and bacon with either coffee or milk.
And sometimes with a nice blueberry yogurt.
(Feel free to be descriptive)
Simp4S0m [#2]Depending on my time but usually:
Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich with 2 fried eggs and 2 bacons with yogurt and water (I drink coffee before) If no time to fry I usually change the fried stuff with 1 banana. If I'm really lazy I just boil 2 eggs kekw
It's bad to drink coffe on an empty stomach!!!

All of this, just for breakfast ?
Here where I live it is very strange to eat meat for breakfast, we have a culture where we eat something lighter for breakfast and something heavier for lunch.
But depending on the region it changes, but I really like tapioca (made from cassava gum) stuffed with egg, cheese and a very large cup of coffee.

standard PB&J sandwich : 390 calories
Fried eggs : 180 calories
2 bacon slices : 80 kcal
yogurt (and i'm gonna assume, from what you eat for breakfast, that it's not plain yoghurt with 0 added sugar, and it's probably flavoured) : 110 kcal (if it's a 100g one, if you're american, i know they have bigger portions for foods, then it's more than that). (I'm using a low estimate, flavoured yogurt can even be at 150 kcals)
This is a 760 kcal breakfast. That is absolutely bonkers.
(If it's plain yogurt with ZERO added sugars, then the average should be 60kcal. so just remove 50 from 760 = 710 kcal breakfast)
If you absolutely insist on eating breakfast, then the recommended amount is 400 kcal.
I'm not trying to police your eating habits. I'm not judging, you asked why and i answered why.

Oh damn I didn’t know any of that. I don’t really watch how much I eat and I’m clueless when it comes to these things lol thanks for the heads up. Btw I eat plain yogurt and usually 2 tablespoon. It’s not like I eat like this every morning but will definitely try not go past 400kcal from now.

at the end of the day, don't deprive yourself or leave yourself hungry. Just that there are some things that fill you up more (protein and fibers and healthy fats) but have less calories.
as we grow older, we find it harder to not gain weight so it's better to build good habits early.
Good luck < 3

Actually drinking coffee on an empty stomach increases your metabolism (only if it’s your first meal), and causes some workout benefits as well (helpful if you go to the gym)
