judging by the schedules that they give for champions, I think it's safe to say that for this year's champions they're gonna use the same format as last year's. this year's champions will go on for 20 days, which is the same as last year's.
I honestly kinda dislike this, the prestige that comes with winning Champions will not be that different as Masters because the Champions format is basically the Masters format but with 4 teams less. which is kinda disappointing I was hoping for them to shake things up for the supposed biggest tournament of the year
I bet most people would consider winning either champions and masters as the same thing, which is fair I guess, both of them are international tournaments with similar formats, but it feels kinda weird when Riot consider this tournament as like the definitive tournament of the year where they would release songs and reveal stuff here when it's just glorified masters with a different name and branding
I genuinely believe that single elim would be good for this, we see it at worlds 2022 or lock in where teams would put their best because they know this would be their last chance if they lose this they're out, and we see some cool upsets here and there. I thought that they flirted with the idea of single elim on lock in because they might consider using it at champions, but I guess that was more due to logistic reasons
let me know what you think
