Can someone explain to me why a lot of coaches make timeouts when their team is losing x - 12 ? (x is between 0 and 6)
love_trial [#2]probably just mental talk because most people (like you) would feel like the game is impossible at that point
it's better to try to fix the problem before it is almost impossible to win tho, like timeout 3-8 or smth

they do both

Thanks for your response but did you just diss my mental resistance at the same time??? And by mental talk you mean that the coach tell them something like "still winnable with zero mistakes" or "It wasn't a bad map/match and we will win next for sure" ?
There are quite a few different approaches for what you can do at 3-12 score. One example would be to aknowledge a bad game, have a laugh about it, in that way you can relieve your players of the pressure and they MIGHT start making a comeback.
It's a bit disrespectful when fans or viewers complain about professionals trying their hardest and not giving up..
It ain't over till the fat lady sings.
