on EMEA broadcast they announced BIND back for week 6 onwards and icebox out.

Terrible decision to swap maps out mid seaon. no competitive integrity. Should of came back for tokyo

Fnatic were goated on bind before.

Its not bad change for them but newer formed teams without a core that never needed to practice on that map it would effect the most

Sen, Koi, Giants etc

Not that bad considering teams have week long breaks between matches

Still going against their 4 week wait until new maps back in the pool unless bind comes in this week ?

Yeah, swap the map out for the first relevant international tournament of the year rather than integrate it mid-season. Solid logic there chap

Thank you for not actually using any form of logic to debate me, rather resorting to ad hominem.

There is a 3week break from End of the split and tokyo. alot more prep time.

Teams will still have to prep icebox until end of week 5 whilst prepping bind for when it comes in week 6. Prepping a total of 8 maps instead of 7 during the middle of a split.

Riot released ruling on new maps have to be in rotation atleast 4 weeks before its back in pro play.

i guess you don't care about competitive inegrity and like to see newer formed teams without a core struggle

VAL is a full-time job for every single one of the players. At the end of week5, they'll have 15-20 hours to prep a base level of strategic structure for Bind, assuming they've already prepped other maps, and will subsequently have extra time ahead of Tokyo to refine and ensure their gameplay is of a high caliber.

I'd argue that this will provide a higher level of play when it comes to Tokyo - perhaps there is less integrity for this season of VCT, I don't fully disagree with ya there, but ultimately, I care more about the level teams bring to Tokyo. The best of the best will be able to iterate upon past success and yes, while this does slightly bias the season more towards team w/ a long-standing core of players, they were going to be the ones in playoffs anyways.

What I was thinking during a regular year (2 splits) is a map change after every LAN but mid split kinda weird shoulda done after tokyo
