DFM is franchised due to their support for the lol scene for sure. They’ve been in the scene forever so I guess Riot wanted to return the favor. Sadly the allure of the franchise spot couldn’t overcome CR’s pull for players.
if CR players make % of their character merch sales, the money off that alone will swayed away from any orgs approaching them, yes even franchise salary.
