Is the path for pro in csgo harder than val?
depends on what you mean. path to tier 1 is harder in valorant because Riot made it artifically harder with how much of a pain in the ass it is to get into franchising. path to being a pro in general is significantly harder in csgo because there's more players to compete with, there's a higher level of mechanical skill required, and you don't have specific roles like sentinel/controller/duelist/initiator so you're competing with a larger range of people.

lol what kind of braindead comment is this, path to pro in cs and valorant is literally the same
gather 5 man, place high in tournament, get scouted
you don't have specific roles like sentinel/controller/duelist/initiator so you're competing
u know nothing about cs do ya? u know theres entry fraggers, support players, awpers, igl, in csgo too right?
in both games u shouldnt try to go pro because it's a pipedream and ull prob be in shit financial position in 10 years, safer bet is to try to go pro in the next big esports because the ship has sailed for valo and cs

you're the one who's braindead. its not as simple as that. there's more spots in the tier 1 scene in csgo and there's more tier 2 tournaments to participate in. this is the result of a open circuit as opposed to a closed circuit.
u know nothing about cs do ya? u know theres entry fraggers, support players, awpers, igl, in csgo too right?
players aren't often scouted based on what rifling role they play. the only distinction is between awpers and riflers. look at the top 10 teams on hltv rn, and you will see that 7/10 igls on tier 1 teams were people who picked up igling from other igls in tier 1. they didn't grind their way up igling tier 2 teams. unfortunately you wouldn't know this because your cs knowledge isn't even a fraction of mine.
ItsMeDio [#6]Path to becoming csgo pros is generallly harder and thats a fact. You can ask any valorant pros
i dont necessarily disagree
ItsMeDio [#6]Path to becoming csgo pros is generallly harder and thats a fact. You can ask any valorant pros
thats already done with franchise, so many t2 players are out of a job rn and will likely never touch franchise money in their lives
dont even get it twisted, the days of orgs handing out 2k a week contracts like candy are long overdue, AND that was post covid era where everyone is leveraging the fuck out of the market
the pipedream is over, u want pro get ready to dedicate ur life working mcdeez part time or living off ur parents and playing 24/7 until 1 roster spot in franchise opens up and u gotta compete with 300 other motherfuckas with better pedigree compete for the same spot
also, franchise killed the t2 scene, dont even believe for a sec these ascension teams will pay salary forever, they will eventually fold when their owners start liquidating their business becuz times are ruff

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO yeah bud keep thinking u know jackshit about the scene in general, just bcuz the na cs scene is dead doesnt mean its harder to be pro in cs than val, ur just in the wrong market like an idiot

u just contradicted urself, but Im gonna let ur tiny brain figure out where and how yourself
but ur an hltv user, I doubt u have the mental capacity to do so, mister tex is an upgrade over saya LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I give guard 1 year max before they pull out of the scene, same with other t2 teams that nobody give a fuck about

bro is stalking my vlr LMFAO that is so sad. tex clearly is an upgrade over saya, The Guard is doing much better without him. also i don't give two shits about NA CS, only Liquid. and since my "tiny brain" can't figure it out myself, i'd love for you to explain to me how not having to compete with others based on roles makes it easier to go pro in cs.

1 match = worse lmfao. The Guard with Saya bombed out of stage 2 lil bro. and you don't even account for The Guard players being under immense stress as their org is imploding
Well CSGO does have a lot higher skill ceiling and that's why tier 2 players who have never even held up a trophy on LAN before making the switch like yay, TenZ, Marved, FNS, s0m, brax, ShahZaM, Jamppi, etc.. and washed up players like ScreaM, ANGE1 and mixwell are either the best or are among the best players in the world. I honestly believe that with a long boot camp G2 or even FaZe could hold their own against the best but that's just IMO.

Hey so is "pathetic" your new favorite word or is it your go to when projecting?

this is a common falacy, the fact that t2 players are successful doesn't mean the game is easier, means they putted more hard work on an upcoming game with different dynamics and abilities. T1 csgo players have tried the game and sucked at it, same with some t1 OW pros
gamr [#13]ur so pathetic lmfao. explain to me how they aren't doing better
Let me guess I'm pathetic?
titanwithpp [#20]Lets be honest many people like CSGO because its an old game and is followed by nostalgia, otherwise people would get bored of it real quick if it launched in this day and age
exactly, skin inventory plays a major role on the attachment to the game too
kudos [#19]Hey so is "pathetic" your new favorite word or is it your go to when projecting?
you said something stupid to me, i retaliated, you refused to admit you're wrong and instead edited all your messages to say that you love penis. how is that not pathetic?

Counter-Strike 2 is about to drop I'm thinking that you might be eating your words maybe? I hope it breaks records against CSGO anyways
kudos [#25]Counter-Strike 2 is about to drop I'm thinking that you might be eating your words maybe? I hope it breaks records against CSGO anyways
It isn't a new game, its just a new engine that fixes the base of the game, the game stays the same
How difficult it is to go pro in literally anything is purely down to how much competition you have,
What the hardest speedrun to be the best at is, is always gonna be the one with the most active users
It doesn't matter which game is harder since being a pro means being better relative to your competition
Therefore whatever game has more people trying to go pro will be harder, my assumption is CS:GO has more since it's a more popular esport

lmaoooo biggest copium overdose ive ever seen. saya carried those bums to a masters event while tex is struggling to get over 1.0 rating vs tier 2 na teams 💀

You realize the only reason Valorant is so popular right now is because of CS?
If CS didn't exist, neither would be Val
Skywarp [#31]lmaoooo biggest copium overdose ive ever seen. saya carried those bums to a masters event while tex is struggling to get over 1.0 rating vs tier 2 na teams 💀
saya also carried those bums to an LCQ loss because he couldn't adapt to the meta so his agent pool sucked.

stewie was also trash the last time he played cs bro

No it wouldn't
CS created the base of modern FPS genre, made it popular, and gave Riot the idea to replicate it

yeah bro saya’s agent pool was definitely the biggest issue when net and valyn went a combined -35 vs 100t

MY BAD I should have put "Counter-Strike 2" in quotes I know it's only an update to the Source 2 engine which is a good thing because no one wants to change the core fundamentals but a huge graphics update, 128 tick servers, a streamlined matchmaking system, new skins and hopefully an update to VAC that actually works is exactly what's needed for casual and pro players to keep coming back IMO.
