might be wrong but i think majority of them played games on console like nintendo and FPS wasn't that big in japan compared to other genres like JRPG or Fighting games

Edit: 8bit Binks is having 10k live viewers on a avg during watchparties and during GE's match it was 20k live.
And most of the popular FPS streamers have similar stats for eg. TbOne, FA2, S8UL streamers etc.
