IT WASN'T YAY

it was FNS and the core it wasn't yay afterall, i was one of the ones that thought optic's ginmick was to build their plan around yay and this tournament showed us that it wasn't the case

yes yay was an important piece and yes they had a plan around him but we learnt that FNS is the one that enabled Yay to be like that and using his strength to the fullest without affecting his mid rounds and overall game plan

rn i truly believe that FNS is the greatest igl in valorant (all around)
while there are more successful igls like SAADHAK for example i still think as a leader and igl FNS is in the lead

and i believe FNS has the ability to make NRG a better team

they were a contender since the envy days, getting yay is just an upgrade for them

its fns and chet, they add yay just only for fire power to cover botns aim

envy core was always at top 4 in early 2021 yay just made them even better

If you ask me it's all Layers.
FNS in himself is an S tier IGL and anyone who says otherwise shall watch more matches.
Then you add Chet to the mix, a world class Coach, strengthening the team with good strats and coaching.
Introduce Victor (Food diffs Victor) who's a very selfless entry to support Yay. His role to put Yay in those positions was probably the most important.
Introduce Crashies who managed to stay underrated for so long while being cold. Haven't seen him make bad plays or ego peeks.
Introduce Marved who's the completion to the aggression of the team. His passive aggressiveness is world class and he's been more impacful than Yay many times.

optic started losing in scrims and looked unimpressive in recent tournaments, until they picked up yay and they became #1
