Chinese Teams

Thinking about it, it seems like Masters this year will probably have 2 Chinese teams again.
Considering it'll be 3 teams from each league and an additional one from Lock/in w/ the two assumed Chinese teams that would be 12

Now, what are we going to do with these Chinese teams?
It seems that Riot recognizes that it isn't fair that these teams aren't included, but with how the format was created it seems that there's not really room for any Chinese teams to be included in partnership permanently unless somehow each League was to add at least one team as well. It doesn't make sense to me that there are going to be 2 Chinese teams competing in what is essentially a VRL to qualify for Champions. Also if a Chinese team wins Lock/in what league earns the extra spot?

It just seems a bit messy not having included Chinese teams in this initial partnership, but I do understand that the game was JUST published in China

This still hinders the whole partnership program and China's participation in it

there were leaks that 2 chinese teams will be invited to masters and champions so you arent wrong

edit: i didnt read the whole thing at first but, the leaks also included that China will have its own Franchise league maybe next year or the year after

Just format wise it just makes the most sense with the numbers already confirmed

Rito should have started franchising next year. This China situation is a mess and it's all Riot's fault

Because they started franchising too soon, they should have waited for the authorization from Chinese government

China getting an entire league does not seem just or fair to all the other orgs that didn't make it and already invest a lot of time and money into the scene
Obviously FPX and EDG have both spent time and money as well and I don't think it's fair to exclude these orgs, but for china to get its own league is way too much imo

Tencent owns riot of course they will get there own league. China is always separated in esports because the market is so big if they had their own compared to if you only added two or three into the pacific. Riot would lose lots of profit and miss out on a huge fanbase
