VCL Japan

Honestly, it has been one of the most entertaining expereinces watching VCL Japan for the last 3 weeks, which was honestly completely unexpected for me. I genuinely enjoyed how SCARZ, Crazy Racoon played and absolutely annoyed by the fact Vici and Something are being held back soo hard by Fisker and Misaya. Misaya honesly wasnt that bad right? He has been in the roster for a while, but his performance degraded. Overall, also love the diversity of japan league. Its not like they have no talent. There are definitely some really good japanese duelists and neth has been performing insane.
Also no shade to Korea VCL, but it seems a bit lackluster. Almost all of the good korean players are all in Franchise, which is kinda crazy. Korean players are probably some of the most valuable players in APAC it seems. DNG, GE, T1, Geng and obviously DRX.

Edit: I almost writing about Northeption, but this is probably the third year in a row this org has made a banger roster. Who knows, this team will just randomly win against CR in the grandfinals and take the franchise spot on a good day lmao. Its totally possible.

Texture is really good tho. You may call KR talent mid, but they have a lot of value for some reason. I think KR talentpool is small, but not mid, but even with a smaller talent pool, most of the good players are in franchise.

In the JP region right now (with the exception of ZETA), CR is dominating the other teams more tactically. The mechanicals of the members are also excellent.
It is interesting to note that CR is a team with Japanese as core members, holding down the superior power of Russians in SG and SZ.
(Medusa is KR, but too familiar with Japan, the Japanese treat them almost as JPs lol)
How well CR fares in a duel with the APAC powerhouses is our country's hope.

Neth has been going crazy and meiy is one of the best players in Japan period. They are rn tactically outclassing every other team, and has really strong aim. SCARZ is probably the only team that can give a good fight against them because they play like a team unlike SG who has rn the best two players in the VCL but completely has no teamwork whatsoever.

Talking about Medusa, many people think that Medusa is Japanese because he's so fluent. 😂

i believe there's little gap between talents among the regions here in apac. korea just have a better way of playing the game. that's why i think getting coaches from eu or na who have like more than a decade of experience and knowledge in fps will massively improve our region. we just gotta admit that we are so far behind eu/na right now

not gonna lie, I've enjoyed watching the Japanese VCL more than the KR one so far and I think it's more entertaining cause everyone is so competitive aside from Reject, but the level of gameplay is still pretty low. Something and Vici are solid players, don't get me wrong, but you know something is wrong when someone is farming the entire region minus NTH (TenTen diff) on Reyna

bro istg BLEED will somehow manage to choke against a team they had no chance of losing to. Also CR will definitely go toe to toe against BLEED. You cant underestimate JP. Remember how NORTHEPTION absolutely rolled every sinlge team in LCQ 2021? It was completely dominated by all Korean and Japan teams in LCQ. APAC has a lot to worry about.

Need to know that neth is the new IGL for the team and I can say that he's unfamiliar with this role but still he did his best so far. SCARZ (they were used to be in BLUE BEES) has been putting a good fight against CR actually since split 2 last year and it was an interesting match to watch as well. I don't really know how they comms because Kr1stal is their IGL but even with that kind of disadvantage, they still pull through the series. About Sengoku Gaming, they rely heavily on Vici and somethin, like ranked games. I prolly can say that they don't have reliable IGL, that why Misaya kinda overwhelms with his role right now, maybe comms issue, also let's be real that Fisker ain't that good anymore.

It's incredible, every match is a banger, players like something, that no one expect this performance, and Japan has a very great level

True lmao. Vici is farming on controller, even when they lose you see both of these players positive for some reason, that too over 10+. DWG (i hate dplus) is also gonna be similar if not better than CR, as these two teams have the highest amount of expereince. Overall, there's still a good chance they win APAC, but BLEED, Mith and BOOM will be really good though.

definitely not small, just exported. in asia they easily have the biggest pool of talent of all the subregions

True, Misaya wasnt always this bad. Fisker has been dragging the team down way too much. Like he seriously needs to get his jett in check. Also why the hell is he only playing duelist. Why are they playing double duelist?? SCARZ has only Jemkin as duelist usually and they are doing well, with other players not dragging the team comp down. SG always running double duelist, which is absolutely stupid. Something should be more than enough, esp with a fragging controller like Vici.

I was surprised when SG picked him up because before Fisker was in, SG already had 5 players as their roster and it made a change for the roles of the team as well where Vici moves to controller. Npoint is in controller role and I believe Vici will have to take the 2nd duelist or maybe another role (flex) for the team. SCARZ also have Kr1stal as duelist but he's more on the flex side as far as I can see as well.

SG used to have Art (now he is in Jadeite) as the IGL and now the burden goes to Misaya, and I believe he's unfamiliar with this new position. He said in the introduction video that he's doing 'half' of the IGL job but I don't know who takes the other half.

True, the last thing they needed in the roster was a 1 trick duelist for the love of god, no matter how good Vici is in controller.
