Currently i have
16gb ram
Rx 570 4gb
Ryzen 3 2200g
My fps sometimes in some situations drop below 90 and its horrible.
Im thinking of buying a new cpu cuz that seems to me like it would be the best upgrade for my pc. Will cpu upgrade be enough to hold my fps in val at stable 170fps atleast? And which cpu should i go for ?

get a ryzen 5 5600x can handle any game and isn't too pricey. You still need to upgrade your gpu though because its not good enough.

how are u dropping to below 90 fps? ur CPU shouldn't be bottlenecking your GPU at all. i would be surprised if its a CPU problem

I have a 9th gen i5 and it is 100% my bottleneck with a 1660ti

Not sure how this compares to AMD stuff at all tho

rx 570 is closer to a gtx 970/gtx 1060, definitely significantly worse than a 1660ti. idk how your cpu compares to AMD cpus tho.

Valorant is a CPU bound application (not GPU, unlike most other video games). The problem is more than likely related to the CPU or CPU config

I have no idea, seriously its unplayable sometimes, i play on 144hz my fps drops below 100 easily in chaotic situations

those should be fine. i use a 5 2600 and a gtx 970 and get around 170-190 fps. my GPU is pretty much equally as strong as yours so you will probably get like 220 fps or higher

i mean its like 200-250$ in the us idk where you live Zex but thats not too bad here. Valorant is cpu based so paying the extra is worth it imo.

clearly not a cpu issue
format it to see if it improves
but ye u need a better cpu if you have a 144hz lol

I have ryzen 5 3600 and its kinda good, 200+ fps with GTX 960. So go for Ryzen 5 3600 or the better one.

Yea, im kinda broke tbh rn, and i dont want to spent too much on cpu, so i just rather go for something cheaper like 5 5500 or 5 3600
