The GC scene should be completely stopped and they should join/ merge with the Ascension league. Heard too many orgs are leaving the GC scene for next year due to not getting franchise spot .

anyone can take part in ascension . Also those orgs are leaving the T2 scene not the GC scene .

almost all the gc teams also have a main roster.

so if for example c9w went to ascension they would have less chance of getting picked up.
because the only orgs that can pick them up are

• non-franchised teams
• who dont have a team already

if they stay in gc

• franchised teams and non-franchised teams can pick them up

GC teams already can try out for challengers league

Yes they can , but as long as it's an option it's not gonna be good because they will always choose the lesser competition tournament over the tougher one .

Think from G2 gozen's POV for example , they might easily get top 5 in Ascension if they work really hard but they will not do that because they can win the GC scene easily . When easier path is available people tend to choose that .

Then why are we even having them play a separate league , one year of giving them a platform (GC) is enough to give them the recognition right ? Maybe one year is not enough but ultimately it should merge with VCT if not GC will always be considered as a secondary league .

If this statement has to be true , some GC team should at least qualify for the VCT champions . Or VCT champions should have 1 slot for GC winners , then we will know .
