What if you don’t become better than the main ones? Are you gonna spend 120k on average per player per year for a what if? Half a million a year for a maybe this player becomes slightly better than what you already have. I feel like more than 6 maybe 7 players is a total waste

Then drop them if they don't get better. It is a waste to be honest its really a freaking gamble to make a 10 man roster. But that's the team decision that's the environment they want to create its up to them to find and develop those players. if you know League T1 is really good at this kind of thing most of their players came from their own, its just an example I know its a different game but its the same thought process of what they are doing.
