Overall its nice, we're going to mt. SAC tomorrow to race the 74th annual meet, so if any of you guys do cross country and are going to mt.sac lmk might be cool to see someone lol (huge shot in the dark).

actually really good :)
i've been spending time with friends, focusing on college, going to the gym, and making great progress on my hobbies (singing, piano, video editing, etc).
i haven't really been on vlr for the past month or so mainly cause i've been busy and i realized how toxic this place is sometimes. it's fun to make baiters mad or troll racist/homophobic people, but staying in an online sphere for too long can cause negative health effects without even realizing it. spending too much time on this website warped my priorities too much and i lost sight of what was important.
everyone, make sure to go outside once in a while and make connections with people irl. it really does change your life for the better.

its easy to get addicted to any form of online social interaction, and i doubt he was exclusively on vlr. I have some trouble making sure i dont spend to much time on vlr/twitter/reddit etc but i can understand how someone would

it was summer and i had a lot of free time because my gap semester prevented me from getting an internship. i'm not usually a social guy so 75% of my time was spent online and i fell susceptible to a rhythm (like sushi said).
i don't use a lot of other social media like tiktok or instagram and vlr talked about competitive valorant, which is something i actually care about so naturally i spent a lot of time here. it didn't "ruin my life", but i realized i shouldn't be spending more than 10 mins a day on this website
