spookmeister [#2]Shitty mobile game org with predatory underpaying contracts.
Hopefully riot fined them for all the money they saved by underpaying their players.

i still dont get how rrq overcame boom and got the franchising spot. beyond absurd
boom has stable teams in the pc games they are in and is 100% committed to Indo scene
how tf mobile org came out of nowhere and is in franchising lmaooo

Riot mentioned 3 thing:
Fan Love & Culture - putting VALORANT fans first is at the forefront of everything VCT. For this reason, we ensured that all teams chosen are well-loved across the region and this has undoubtedly been the most important factor throughout the process.
Sustainability & Collaboration - we ensured that every team joining us were in this for the long haul and willing to work with us to best deliver on the future of VALORANT esports.
Motivation & Values - we want to work with teams that share our values and vision for the future of VALORANT.

They have actually tons and loyal fans. They are also stable in term of financial. Riot maybe considered that. beside also there is a possibility of their previous relationship in the wild rift...
But in the end they become a public enemy for the valorant community in Indonesia, which probably make riot not happy.
hanafuji [#7]RRQ malding lol "what do you mean we can't just pressure players signing minimal contract to play for our team or they won't play in franchise at all?"
I feel bad for tehbotol, hope he had a good deal
Apsodia [#9]I feel bad for tehbotol, hope he had a good deal
even the minimum wage for playing in franchise is a good fucking deal if you live in Indonesia to be fair 💀

but i mean, for his skill level and experiences he should be getting more than the minimum no?

you know he needs to move to Seoul for the franchised league. With rrq current management, I'm not so sure they will pay fully for his cost of living there. He might need to spend 2-3k usd a month which is 75% of his minimum salary.

luckily they are obligated by riot to provide/pay for rent, but like you said, living cost there is still high regardless
